  • Difference between electro galvanizing and hot galvanizing

    1. Different concepts

Hot-dip galvanizing, also known as hot-dip galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing, is an effective method of metal anti-corrosion, mainly used in metal structural facilities in various industries. It is to immerse the rust-removed steel parts in a molten zinc solution at about 500 ° C, so that the surface of the steel parts adheres to the zinc layer, so as to achieve the purpose of anti-corrosion.

Electrogalvanizing, also known as cold galvanizing in the industry, is the process of using electrolysis to form a uniform, dense and well-bonded metal or alloy deposition layer on the surface of the workpiece. Compared with other metals, zinc is a relatively cheap and easily plated metal. It is a low-value anti-corrosion coating and is widely used to protect steel parts, especially against atmospheric corrosion, and for decoration.

    2. The process is different

Process flow of hot-dip galvanizing: pickling of finished products - washing - adding plating solution - drying - rack plating - cooling - chemical treatment - cleaning - grinding - hot-dip galvanizing is completed.

Electrogalvanizing process flow: chemical degreasing - hot water washing - washing - electrolytic degreasing - hot water washing - washing - strong corrosion - washing - electrogalvanized iron alloy - washing - washing - light - passivation - washing - drying.

    3. Different craftsmanship

There are many processing techniques for hot-dip galvanizing. After the workpiece is degreasing, pickling, dipping, drying, etc., it can be immersed in the molten zinc bath. Like some hot-dip pipe fittings are processed in this way.

Electrolytic galvanizing is processed by electrolytic equipment. After degreasing, pickling and other processes, it is immersed in a solution containing zinc salt, and the electrolytic equipment is connected. During the directional movement of positive and negative currents, a zinc layer is deposited on the workpiece. .

    4. Different appearance

The overall appearance of hot-dip galvanizing is slightly rougher, which will produce process water lines, dripping tumors, etc., especially at one end of the workpiece, which is silvery white as a whole. The surface layer of electro-galvanizing is relatively smooth, mainly yellow-green, of course, there are also colorful, blue-white, white with green light, etc. The whole workpiece basically does not appear zinc nodules, agglomeration and other phenomena.
